Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Zenow (“the Service”) is provided by Paolo Navatta, an individual based in Italy (“we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected].

By creating an account or using Zenow you agree to these Terms and confirm you have read the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Zenow.

2. The Service

Zenow helps students plan and study: calendar, homework, grades, study plans, and Chrono, an AI tutor that explains, quizzes and practises with you, by voice too.

Some features are new and may change or stop. We may change, add or remove features to improve Zenow. If a change takes away something important you paid for, you can cancel and get back the unused part of what you paid.

3. Chrono and AI

Chrono is an AI, not a person. Its answers, explanations, plans, predicted questions and practice marks are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong.

They are study aids, not official assessments: a mark from a practice oral is an estimate, not a grade. Check anything important with your teacher, your books or another reliable source.

Do not rely on Chrono for medical, legal, psychological or other professional advice. If you are going through something difficult, talk to an adult you trust or a local helpline.

4. Accounts and age

Give your real month and year of birth, your country and a valid email. One account per person; keep your password to yourself.

Below the age at which the law where you live lets you agree alone (for example 13 in the US, 14 in Italy, 16 in Germany), a parent or legal guardian has to agree first, by email. They are then responsible for your use of Zenow and can delete the account at any time.

If you are under 18, any purchase needs your parent’s or guardian’s permission.

5. Learning honestly

Zenow is built to help you understand, not to do your work for you. Follow your school’s rules on AI. Do not hand in Chrono’s work as your own where that is not allowed, and do not use Zenow during a test unless your teacher allows it.

6. What you may not do

Do not:

• break the law, or upload anything you have no right to share;
• harass, threaten or harm anyone, or use Zenow to create content that sexualises minors or promotes self-harm, violence or hate;
• try to make Chrono produce harmful content or get around its safeguards;
• access other people’s accounts or data, or probe, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the Service;
• connect accounts that are not yours, or use a connected service against its own terms;
• resell your account or plan, or give others access to it, except through a Family plan.

7. Your content

What you put in Zenow stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store, process and show it in order to run the Service for you, including sending it to our AI provider to answer you. That permission ends when you delete it or your account, apart from copies the law requires us to keep.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

When you share something (a summary for a parent, a shared page), you choose who sees it and can stop sharing at any time.

If you think something on Zenow infringes your rights, write to [email protected] with the details and we will look into it promptly.

8. Plans, credits and payments

Zenow has a free plan and paid plans. Each plan comes with a daily allowance of AI credits, and you can buy extra credits. What each plan includes is shown in the app before you buy.

Automatic renewal. Paid plans are billed by Stripe, in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the price shown until you cancel. We email you before a yearly plan renews. You can cancel online at any time in Settings → Manage billing; the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for.

Passes. A pass gives Plus for three or twelve months for a single payment and does not renew: it simply ends. Someone else, such as a parent, can pay for it from a link you send them; the pass is yours. You can withdraw from a pass within 14 days of buying it, as from a subscription. A week before a pass ends, whoever paid for it (or, if no one else did, you) gets one email to renew it; nothing is charged unless they pay again. In Italy, a year of Plus is sold only as the 12-month pass; the Plus subscription there is monthly.

Price changes apply only from your next renewal, and we tell you at least 30 days before, so you can cancel first.

Right of withdrawal (EU and UK). You can withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of buying it by writing to us, and we refund you in full. Credits and packs already used cannot be returned.

Free trial. A trial ends by itself and never turns into a paid plan unless you choose one.

Family plan. One account pays and invites up to four others. Members can leave at any time, and the payer cannot see what members keep in Zenow. When the plan ends, members go back to their own plan.

Refunds beyond these are at our discretion, or where the law requires them.

9. Other services

When you connect another service (a calendar, Notion, your school’s register), you confirm you are allowed to use that account, and that service’s own terms apply between you and it. We are not responsible for those services or for what they do with your data.

10. Availability and liability

We work to keep Zenow available and your data safe, but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose; you can download your data at any time.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for academic results, missed deadlines or decisions you take based on Zenow. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €50 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability or consumer right that the law does not allow to be limited.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, or to protect other people or comply with the law. Unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it, we tell you first, explain why, and let you reply. If we close a paid account through no fault of yours, we refund the unused part.

12. Changes to these Terms

If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before the change applies. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then, and we refund the unused part of a paid plan.

13. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.

Before going to court, write to us: most problems are solved quickly that way.
